The entirety of Jonathan’s career has been in injury law – both as an insurance-defense attorney and as a plaintiff’s attorney in both Illinois and Kentucky. He has experience with nearly every type of injury case arising under Kentucky and Illinois law, from car wrecks, to truck accidents, to dog bites and other animal-caused injuries to product liability, to wrongful death, to slip-and-falls and trip-and-falls, to medical negligence, and the list goes on.  

Unlike many attorneys today, Jonathan was fortunate enough to be trained in general practice and general civil litigation in both Illinois and Kentucky, working under some of the best practitioners in our area.  His experiences, which help inform his practice in every case, range from administrative law, to healthcare law, to transactional law, to contract law, to family law, to business law, to construction law, to consumer law, to trust and estate disputes, to business disputes, to Medicare fraud and false claims law, to worker’s compensation, to sex-abuse cases – and beyond.  

Jonathan leads the firm’s personal injury and civil litigation section and serves as lead counsel in all personal injury and civil litigation jury trials.  Jonathan also has extensive experience in research and legal writing, particularly for appellate purposes and complicated legal disputes, and assists with the firm’s criminal law cases that involve complicated or novel legal issues, including violation of constitutional rights
